Jazz em Agosto

Month-long jazz festival held in the stunning Jardim Anfiteatro of the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian in Lisbon, running since 1984. One of Europe's most respected jazz events, it brings avant-garde, free jazz, experimental and contemporary jazz masters to an intimate outdoor amphitheatre under the stars. Past performers include Ornette Coleman, Cecil Taylor and the Art Ensemble of Chicago.
