Mês do Fado – Lisboa

Portugal's capital celebrates the UNESCO-listed Fado throughout October, the month designated for honouring Lisbon's most iconic musical art form. Venues across Alfama, Mouraria, Bairro Alto and Intendente host concerts by leading Fado artists from established Fadistas to new voices reinterpreting the form, alongside exhibitions on Fado's history, poetry workshops and walking tours through the city's Fado heritage neighbourhoods.
